The Department of Transportation (DOT) states that if you have violated your employer’s Drug and/or Alcohol Policy for “safety-sensitive position then you are required to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) evaluation from a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), then call Dr. Matt who is a certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and Substance Abuse Expert (SAE).
The DOT evaluation includes:
1. Face-to face evaluation
2. Treatment recommendations
3. Follow-Up evaluation.
The results are reported to your employer’s Designated Employer Representative (DER) before you can return to your safety-sensitive position. For more information, call Dr. Matt at 585-586-8650.
